sai parenting circle meeting

The Strengthening and Expansion of the SSE program aims to promote Sai Spiritual Education worldwide to solidify children’s spiritual foundation and to help them blossom into youth and adulthood. Along with SSE children this initiative also aims to equip parents of SSE children with Sai Parenting Study Circles. The Sai Parenting Circle aims to create a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative space for parents to openly discuss and share their parenting experiences, grounded in the direct guidance of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. By focusing on real-life scenarios and practical applications of Swami’s teachings, this initiative seeks to foster a trusted environment where parents can engage in meaningful conversations, support each other, and learn from shared experiences.

The National Sai Parenting Circle Team launched the Sai Parenting Initiative on the sacred occasion of Swami's 99th birthday. The Initiative has two independent programs- a) Workshop series to be conducted annually by the Region and b) Sai Parenting Circle to be conducted at the local Sai Centers. Region 5 launched the program successfully encouraging every center where the SSE program is offered to host the Sai Parenting Circle discussion at least once a month with all parents.

Sri Sathya Sai Center of Chicago North launched their first Sai Parenting Circle Discussion in January, 2025. The meeting was conducted online with 9 parents attending and interacting enthusiastically with the provided material. The meeting began with an opening prayer. The main topic discussed was the importance of communication in bridging gaps in parent-child relationships. Participants shared their thoughts and personal experiences, which led to eight valuable insights:

During the meeting's conclusion, each participant selected a personal takeaway to incorporate into their lives, with many choosing to pause and reflect before reacting (Active Listening) -- "Stop, Ponder, and Speak." The meeting ended with a thank you note for all participants.
